Camtasia
Camtasia
Camtasia is "screen-casting" software. It allows you to record your voice and the screen of your computer, creating a multimedia presentation for your students.
To use Camtasia at Highline, contact the ITS Help Desk and request that Camtasia be installed. If you don't have a college issued laptop, you can also install it on your home computer.
Camtasia Best Practices
Use a script, PowerPoint, or outline to organize your presentation.
Keep it short -- about 10 minutes per video, or else your audience will lose focus.
Caption your video. It helps people understand your video! You can use the "export" button and export the video directly to your Panopto account. Panopto will auto - caption your video for you.
Check the captions and edit them, if needed.
Upload your video to your Canvas course or website.
